Description: For sale is Kitaro's Tenku, originally released in 1986 by Geffen Records as a promotional copy with a gold stamp on the front cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "TML-M" along with a large capitol "a" and "delta 13648", followed by the matrix numbers SH-2/SH-2. These etchings indicate that the record was mastered at The Mastering Lab of Hollywood, California, then lacquered at Sheffield Lab Matrix of Santa Monica, California before being made at Allied Record Company's pressing plant located in Los Angeles, California. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put this album, like all my records, in a MFSL archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the vinyl and any original inner sleeve that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear, oxidation, corner blunts and edge rubs. The spine has color loss at the corners along with a little fraying on one corner. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. I'm play grading it as Near Mint. It's been played on only Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This is the best copy of this album that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially an original promotional copy.
