Description: SUBMIT AN OFFER Immensely rare King Zephyr Special Tenor Saxophone for sale, Serial Number 209xxx. The Zephyr Special was a completely redesigned horn and the direct predecessor of the famous Super 20. The key design, previously the "Modernistic Style" that was ungrateful to the fingers, was contoured to a more comfortable arrangement. The mechanism was altered to eliminate the G# trill key and the alternate Eb fingering [i.e. the "fork" Eb]. The bell tone holes were repositioned to accomodate a faster, lighter action. The beauty of the instrument was enhanced by the addition of distinctive mother of pearl inlay on all the keys, including the palm, side and small finger areas This horn features the rare sterling silver neck as well as original gold lacquer and mother-of-pearl keys. Kangaroo leather pads are all in place, albeit 10 yr old at this point. Also included are three very nice mouthpieces: - Otto Link Super Tone Master - Berg Larsen of London - Runyon #6 with vibrator insert As well as covers to fit all. Original alligator skin case including the original pull-out clarinet case, 4x reed holder, neck strap, and 1x unopened Vandoren blue 2.5 reed.
