On today's naming celebration I send you my warmest and most sincere blessings, which I add to the announcement that yesterday I promoted you to Colonel Lieutenant. See in this a new sign of My gracious attitude and My recognition of your often proven Attachment..."Below is King Ludwig II's original ink signature with the date "Munich, November 4, 1872".
