Vintage 1950's one of a kind handcarved handmade childs solid wood elephants rocking chair. Compared to other listings this was executed by a master craftsman, the wood was especially selected as shown by the curved grain of the bench seat and the beautiful selection of woods. This level of quality is rare and hard to find. Mid-century piece, with amazing detail. Elephant figures are in active action pose with their trunks curled and lifted into the air and their mouths roaring like you might have seen at a circus.Solid construction, appears to be all pegged construction and natural finish. It is evident that alot of thought went into the craftsmanship of this unique piece. Beware of other copycat versions which are not as distinguished in the quality of woods, construction or hand painted details.
