Ivor Charlie Plaskett was born in Portsmouth, England in January 1894. He served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion (Ontario Regiment), Canadian Infantry. Corporal Plaskett was killed in action on the Western Front, 10 March 1915, (instantly killed by a sniper per a newspaper extract on ancestry) and is buried in the 'Y' Farm Military Cemetery, Bois-Grenier, France.
