Kestner 589 5 ROBIE Baby Doll 7-1/2" Repro All Porcelain Mohair Wig Glass Eyes

Description: DESCRIPTION: I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED. I’m offering today one of my reproduction all bisque baby dolls. This is a reproduction of the beautiful "ROBIE" baby doll produced by J.D. Kestner around the turn of the century. This is a small size porcelain baby doll measuring approximately 7-1/2" tall with delicate hand painted bisque features and bent limb baby body. Her body is one unit and she has jointed arms and jointed legs. She has beautiful brown set glass eyes and is wearing a vintage mohair wig with lots of curls for added cuteness. Her bisque is so well done, with delicate and meticulous detailing. The artist did this doll in the year of 1980, so she's approximately 43 years old. She painted her eyebrows with the utmost realism to that of a genuine Robie baby doll. The eyebrows have delicate feathering to the brush strokes. Her dainty brown glass brown eyes were set perfectly into her bisque head. I put a vintage dark blonde mohair wig on her with wispy curly hair accenting that precious face. She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her rose bud shape lips. Her lips are painted a peach color with open mouth. Her cheeks have beautiful coloring which look just like a real baby. Oh so sweet! Her body is made of all bisque and has a bent limb baby body. She is really meant to sit or lay and not so much stand up. Her neck is stationary, but her arms and legs can be posed in different positions. The back of her body is hallmarked: "Kestner, 589 5, Robie". Now to her adorable outfit I chose for her to wear home to her new mommy. I found this adorable sheer pink flowing circle style baby dress made of sheer pink fabric and lined with pink rayon. The collar on the dress comes up high around her neck and is complimented with a very full ruffled clown-like collar. The fabric around the collar is sheer also with pink satin ribbon trimming the border. There is a sweet pale pink satin rosebud off to one side of the collar and is accented with a delicate pink satin bow. There are two metal snaps on the back of the dress which keeps the dress in place. As you go back around to the front of the dress, she has Cinderella style sleeves which come just above her wrists. The dress is very full which comes to just below her knees. She is wearing pink satin pantaloons which match the fabric of her dress. She is wearing a white half slip with delicate white lace trimming the hemline. She has sweet white socks with dainty lace on them. Her white Mary Jane shoes are also trimmed with white gathered lace. There are white pearls on each side of the shoes to keep them in place. She will come with her all bisque baby doll to keep her company.l All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional. SIZE: This beautiful reproduction bisque baby doll measures approximately 7-1/2" long and her little dolly measures approximately 2-1/2" long.. CONDITION: I would consider this doll in beautiful condition. She has a replaced vintage mohair baby wig. Her brown glass glass eyes are free of chips, cracks or breaks. Her body is also free of chips, cracks or breaks. All fingers and toes are accounted for. Her dress, pantaloons and slip are vintage, but have been laundered and ironed for her new mommy.
