The front view shows the super large glass globe that makes this a well desired kerosene heater that gives off that awesome moonlight glow throughout the room. I treated this large glass globe with Rutland Heater Stove Cleaner and Conditioner for long clean life. During a power outage this heater will give off more than enough light to fill the largest room. The round wick adjuster knob, located on the front of the heaters tank, is easily moved up and down to control the wicks height. The push button on the left of the knob is the electric igniter that when pushed will automatically light the wick. The igniter operates with 2 "D" batteries (not included) and install in the side of the heater, as seen in picture 2. The lever above the wick adjuster knob releases the top section to allow you to tilt the top back for easy wick cleaning when needed. Also on the front of the heaters tank is the fuel gauge and fuel cap for filling. The back view shows the level indicator that allows you to see that the heater is on level ground. The back also has the handle for easy carrying of this heater to other area's when desired. Picture 3 is the top view that shows the metal top plate that is perfect for placing a kettle or pot of water to add moisture back into the room that kerosene naturally removes. Bottom Drip Tray's take more abuse then any other part of the heater because they are moved around and get scratched and also many people store these in damp basements or garages that cause rust holes BUT NOT IN THIS CASE!! This heater was stored properly by the previous owner and therefore there is no rusting or holes and is solid as a rock!! The bottom drip tray is designed to seat under the heater and held in place with the tabs, as seen in picture #9. The tray is just slightly larger than the heaters base tank to catch any spilled kerosene if needed. To improve the appearance of this AWESOME KEROSENE HEATER I decided to SAND/PRIME PAINTED this bottom drip tray with Rustoleum High Gloss Black Paint because of the scratches in the paint from moving this heater around. The heater is a very dark brown and the black bottom tray gives this heater an awesome appearance!! Bottom Drip Trays prevent rug and floor damage from kerosene. Pictures show the top(#9) and bottom(#10) of the tray. There are 4 tabs on the top side of the tray where the heaters base is inserted by it's 4 metal tabs on the base tank. Very easy to remove and clean when needed. One more note on the Moonlighters bottom drip tray....these are the thickest metal and heaviest duty bottom trays that Kerosun ever made!! Pictures 11-12 Pictured is an Awesome Heat Chamber Burner Mantle that is in perfect condition that was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned!! Completely cleaned inside and out. All air port holes are clean and free flowing for proper combustion and air flow. This part requires a complete and thorough cleaning to prevent old kerosene odors and smoke from ruining your home. Never buy a used kerosene heater that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in the heat mantle or fuel tank. BOTH are necessary to prevent problems for the new owner. NOTICE that I am showing the inside of the heat chambers mantle because this is where you will find the contamination that will make your heater smell and smoke. Very important that this is completely clean!! Other sellers only show you the nice shinny top! Not Me...It's the inside that counts! EVERY MOONLIGHTER I have ever refurbished has this part contaminated with a heavy amount of black soot that will smoke and fill the room with obnoxious odors. Picture 13 shows the red igniter lever that will igniter your wick when pushed inwards. Picture 18 Picture shows the outside back section of the bottom base tank that includes all the manufacturers labels in place for easy operation of this heater. All the necessary information is listed on this label, including the lot number, which identifies the model moonlighter this is. Kerosun identifies their kerosene heater models by looking at the last letter of the lot number. The last letter is the model for that particular style heater. In this case the lot number is X0701F which identifies this as a Moonlighter model "F". Picture 19 EVERY PART WAS CLEANED AND INSPECTED!! As you can see in this picture the fuel gauge and fuel cap were removed and the complete inside of the tank was thoroughly scrubbed clean. The rubber gaskets were removed and cleaned.
