Description: This is a somewhat rough Kenwood TS-820 HF Transceiver. This is not the "S" version so there is no digital readout, only the analog dial. The radio covers the traditional HF Bands, 80/75 / 40 / 20 / 15 / and 10 Meters, (It does not cover 11 Meters). Operating modes are LSB, USB, and CW. It was built in the 1970's. It is a hybrid rig, meaning it is all solid state with the exception of the transmit driver, (12BY7), and final tubes, (2 X 6146). This one does not have the optional CW filter, only the stock SSB filter. It puts out a solid 100 watts on all bands, (photos show 160, 80, 40, 20,15, and 10 meters - readings were taken in "CW" position). Receive works fine on all bands as well. All functions and controls appear to work as they should. Cosmetically, I'd rate it at a 6 out of 10. The cabinet has been re-sprayed. The front panel and controls are in good condition. The inside top of the chassis is very dirty, (sooty). I've used this rig on 80-, 40-, and 20-meter side band with no issues and excellent signal reports. This auction includes the radio, AC power cord, a generic hand mic, and a printed copy of the operating manual. The Dummy load / wattmeter IS NOT INCLUDED. Since this is a close to 50-year-old radio, it is being sold "AS IS". The radio will be shipped via FedEx Ground for actual shipping costs which I'd estimate to run between $35 - $75 in the ConUS depending on the buyer's location. Thanks for looking!
