The drawers glide in and out freely and the front cover locks in place. The leather handle shows considerable wear but is sturdy and secure for carrying the case. The front drawer pulls are all original and in good condition. The green felt has definitely seen better days, but after cleaning it a bit it has held up quite well for having drill bits and other tools in and out of it for 50 plus years. They don’t make ‘em like they used to! This is an attractive case that could be converted to a jewelry box with proper replacement of the interior felt. This piece closed up measures 20.25 in long by 8.5 in deep by 13.25 in tall. Without the handle.
