Description: This illuminated Kelly Tires sign is constructed of a translucent panel housed in a metal enclosure, and it measures approximately 72" long by 12″ wide by 80″ tall and weighs about 250 pounds. Internal illumination is provided by fluorescent fixtures and wired for 120-volt circuitry. There are hinges atop "Side B" to allow easy access to the internal workings.The double-sided sign, embossed with white “Kelly Tires” lettering is set against a green background. There is no discoloration or cracks in the plastic. Minor scratches are noted and can be seen up close in photos.Now known as part of the popular name "Goodyear", Kelly Tires originated as Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in 1894 by Edwin Kelly and Arthur Grant. It became a subsidiary of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company from 1935 until 1999 when it was fully integrated under Goodyear. The sticker affixed to the side of this sign identifies the manufacturer as Cummings Incorporated of Dothan, Alabama.
