Description: An Aesthetic Movement French Faïence trompe l’oeil asparagus server, Keller & Guerin, Luneville – circa 1890-1900. A scarce example – a fluted edge blue colored plate with a “fool the eye napkin” lying across the surface, holding seven asparagus spears. The napkin is glazed in a celadon green with a checkered floral pattern, fringed at one end in cream and burgundy. The napkin extends beyond the round plate, adding to the dimensional mold. An old glaze slip on the underside of the napkin point, not seen to the front
