This is a 1985 /86 Keith Haring Free South Africa Lithograph, 39 years old, I Purchased On Opening Day 1986 From The Pop Shop In New York City. I am the original owner and one of the litho's in my personal collection and signed by Keith and was pinned to the wall like we all did back in the day with our favorite posters and is not for sale. Free South Africa by Keith Haring, Unsigned Offset Lithograph printed in 1985 from early edition Sold in 1986 at the Opening of the NYC Keith Harings Pop Shop. This oversized Offset Lithograph is an XL 48 X 48 inches. The condition of this piece has been graded as an overall Good condition w/ signs of handling for a 39 Years Old Litho. Minor edge creases around the perimeter which doesn't affect the lithograph when being framed, see photos provided and ask any questions before bidding. This Offset lithograph is on highly glazed poster paper. Due to the size and delicate paper does show corner creasing and has been rolled up all these years. Haring used his art to raise awareness and solidarity in the USA about many modern issues including Apartheid in South Africa and is still very significant to today's modern issues.I was a permanent fixture at the Pop Shop Opening Day In 1986 - until Closing 2005 with having my then partner Bob "shown in photo" worked at the Pop Shop as the manager in NYC. Thank you Bob for introducing me to Keith and all his GREAT work of Pop Art.
