THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RICH PIECE AND WHILE THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS SUB-PAR, THE SPECIMEN IS TOP CLASS! JUST LIKE FRANKLIN WILLEMITE, ONLY IT IS FROM CALIFORNIA. THIS IS A RARE DEPOSIT WHICH IS VERY MUCH SIMILAR IN MINERALOGY WITH FRANKLIN & LANGBAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read the Spring Picking Table from the FOMS and read about its discovery! FANTASTIC FLUORESCENT SPECIMEN!!! This specimen is an excellent example of Willemite (fl. green SW) with black non-fluorescent iron ore (hetaerolite/franklinite) from the Desert View Mine, Holcomb Valley, San Bernardino County, California, USA. GOOD example of this fluorescent species from this locale! Displays wonderfully. The size of the specimen is 3-1/2" (8.8 cm) x 2-1/2" (6.3 cm) x 1-1/2" (3.8 cm). Great to add to a competitive display. The fluorescent picture(s) are under SW UV light, I am using a Superbright SW lamp (13W).
