Currently the banknote is withdrawn from circulation. On the obverse (obverse) of the coins in the central part there is the coat of arms of the Republic Kazakhstan. At the bottom - the numbers "500" and the inscription "TENGE" denoting the denomination of the coin. In the left and right sectors there is a mirror image of an element of national ornament, along the circumference there are inscriptions "KAZAKHSTAN REPUBLICASY" in the state language and "REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN" in Russian. In the upper part there is the logo of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Around the circumference there is a protruding edging. On the reverse side (reverse) of the coins in the central part there is a fragment of the obverse the side of the 20 tenge banknote with a portrait of the Kazakh enlightener Abay. Along the circumference there is an inscription "ABAY" in the state language, the number "2015", indicating the year of minting, and graphic elements from the banknote. In the upper part - the inscriptions "Ag 925 31.1 g" on the silver coin, indicating the metal from which the coin is made, its standard and weight. Around the circumference there is a protruding edging. Images and inscriptions on the obverse and reverse sides of the coins are in relief. Side the surface (edge) is corrugated.
