Title Courtesan Hitomoto (一ト本) of the Daimonjiya (大文字屋) Title of the series 青樓名君六玉川 Famous Courtesans for the Six Jewel Rivers Publisher: Iwatoya Kisaburô Date seal Hare 3 (1807, 3d month) There are some condition issues. There is some small markings on courtesans face and elsewhere as shown in photos. It looks like it could be staining or marks from something that once rubbed against it. This print has fading to color as is typical with prints that are 200 years old due to the organic ink color that was used. There is some discoloration to paper, probably from sun exposure over its life time. Please examine photos closely for details and condition. Print has flowers and other patterns embossed in dress of the courtesan as shown in photos. This is a very hard to find print.
