Description: JVC RC - M90 stereo boombox with non factory red and grey paint and fully rehabbed. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER SERVICED STEREO DECK EBAY LISTINGS. Why not original color? When purchased it was a dead party beast with just a little original color left on it and making a loud humming noise with one speaker trying bounce itself out the box. Painted in red and a little grey with three coats of clear coat over. Painted to make it look a thing again. Rehabbed including whole boombox recap, transistor replacement, two new antenna replacements. Performance - with a volume less than half up and loudness switch up you can feel air moving in front of woofers and it sounds strong. AM/FM stations comes in, FM in stereo, SW not guaranteed, Line IN and phono is working. Bad things - tape deck does not work. Cassette door does open up and heads go up and down, no playback or other functions. This was one of the most sophisticated tape portion design in 80's with it's own power supply, handful of signal resistors, ziener diodes, fused resistors, 7 IC chips and a wheel which has silver foil on it and photo element reading the wheel movement and performing command according it's position. I'm not making this up, it's all there and if you want to try to fix it be my guest. Recap and one by one check up didn't helped so it's not fixable. Radio station has to be set properly. Any static can make speakers sound off. This doesn't apply for line IN or turntable hook up. Line IN produces clean sound.
