Description: This vintage Hopi pottery plate has been beautifully crafted by well known potter Juanita Healing (1916-2006). It shows a wonderful rainbird design. The plate measures 6 1/8" tall by 5 3/8" across. It is signed on the bottom. There are a couple of indentations on the rim, but it looks like they might be original with the pot and aren't noticeable. Overall, this is a beautiful Hopi plate by a well known traditional Hopi potter. Juanita was from the village of Hano on First Mesa and throughout her career as a potter maintained the traditional Hopi ways.
