Description: In 1976 the band Yes took some time off to allow each member to record a solo album. The most successful of these, commercially, was vocalist Jon Anderson's "Olias of Sunhillow". It is a story, also written by Anderson, of an alien race's journey to a new planet after theirs is threatened with destruction by natural forces. The music has elements of rock, folk, progressive and an almost New Age style of instrumentation. All instruments are played by Anderson, so this is really a self-contained record, truly a solo album. The art work of the album and inner sleeve is typical of Yes.
