We were invited to a party in Hollywood at famous car designer George Barris's shop. Many dudes were there. Had a gin-n-tonic with Cassandra Peterson (Elvira)...very nice lady...and FUNNY! Dean Jeffries was there who designed the Green Hornet Black Beauty and the Monkeemobile. He brought Davy Jones with him. Had a couple of his custom daiquiris with him. (George had a full bar in his shop with Playboy bartenders...lol.) So we brought a half-case of Monkeemobile blisters with us for him to sign cuz we knew Davy was gonna be there. He signed all those for us PLUS some 8x10 glossies he brought with him. Also a very nice person...very humble and polite. There were others there which I'll talk about some other time. PRODUCTION NOTE: about 1/5 of the way through production, the licensing agent pulled the Monkees tampo from the side of the Monkeemobile. The other 80% were marketed with NO TAMPO under Johnny Lightning Direct. So the ones WITH the tampo are more rare and we were lucky to get them to Davy Jones to sign before that happened!
