Description: Johnny Cash - John R. Cash Columbia KC 33370 1975 White Label Promo Terre Haute, IN pressing. Visual & Play Near Mint Plus Matrix / Runout (A-Side runout etching): TML-M PAL 33370 1B Matrix / Runout (B-Side runout etching): S2 TML-M PBL 33370 1B A4 This promo edition was cut at The Mastering Lab,by the late, great engineer, Doug Sax at their Hollywood facility, on the Master lathe, hence the stamped "TML-M" in the runout wax matrix. It also has a 1B etch, both sides A & B. LP: (Graded) Mint Minus, according to Goldmine record grading definitions. This record grades as an LP that appears to either have been just opened or possibly handled or played once only in the most cautious manner possible. A virtual Mint Minus. No signs of use. The plating surface and labels are pristine with as new glossiness. The LP is exceptionally clean and turntable ready. Play Grade: Near Mint Plus / Mint Minus - this pressing is spectacular sounding - detail, imaging, dynamics and stereo separation. The quietness of digital and the richness of analog. The absence of surface noise both during and between tracks, rivals Compact Disc quietness, which is particularly important with a recording such as this with various passages that are acoustic and sparsely accompanied. Rates a 9.8 minimum on the below scale: Cover: (Graded) Very Good Plus - modest indications of shelfwear. One customary Columbia promo clipped corner. The previous owner carefully (and expertly, I might add), removed the standard Columbia Demonstration copy / Timing strip from the lower margin of the front cover. There remains absolutely no adhesive residue, however there always is a slight amount of dimpling of the cover paper in the wake of the removal. I have attempted to detail that with one of the images in the photo gallery. All solid seams and fully legible spine printing. It will be shipped in a new, deluxe Poly lined innersleeve and a clear outersleeve, cover and LP inside separately.
