Description: This old breast drill is almost 17 inches long with a 5 inch drive gear. Marked John S Fray Co Bridgeport CT USA on the handle you don't find many breast drill examples from this company, has that late 1800's feel to it. The drive can be moved to change the ratio. There are some fine cracks in the rosewood handles but the drill feels solid, some cleaning and oil and it would still holes for another generation at least.
