Description: John Ridgway Japonica Mulberry Transferware Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1830-1855 D Nice antique earthenware tea cup and saucer. Decorated in the Japonica patter in mulberry transfer. Marked on the bottom Japonica JR. Produced by John Ridgway. Circa 1830 to 1855. Has some wear consistent with age and use, and a few small spots of staining to the foot rim of both pieces, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. HV
