Description: John Ridgway 6/5181 Floral Swags Green & Gold Pierced Compote / Cake Stand D Nice antique mid 19th century Victorian era British bone china pierced cake stand. Decorated with a gold medallion in the center with hand colored pink, white, orange, yellow, and purple floral swags. Has a green border with gold scrollwork. Gold gilding along the edge. Unmarked except for the pattern number 6 5181 on the base in red. Produced by John Ridgway & Co between 1850 and 1856. Has some wear to the gilding and some small scratches to the green, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 8 1/2 inches wide x 2 7/8 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
