Description: Up for your consideration is a vintage John Maddock & Sons Ltd beaker or handle-less cup, commemorating the 1937 coronation of King George VI. HM King George VI and his wife HM Queen Elizabeth are pictured on the front, over a banner that reads: Long May They Reign. On the back of the cup, there is a crown - GR VI - two flags. The top rim is painted in gold. The cup stands 3 1/2 inches tall, measures 2 7/8 inches across the top, and weighs 5 5/8 ounces. The bottom is marked: Crown symbol - Royal Ivory - John Maddock & Sons Ltd - Made in England. The beaker or handle-less cup is in excellent, vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs of wear or use, except a scratch mark on the front side on Queen Elizabeth's face (see the photos). Please see all the photos. Thanks for looking!
