Description: Lot of two leather bound sporting books by Robert Surtees. Undated, but circa 1860/70. Illustrated with both vignettes in black and white and extra illustrated in color, hand painted by artisans with watercolor paint. 9.25" x 6.25" ea. Good condition overall. Bindings both have a large chip from the top of the spine; they also have splitting between covers and spine, one it's just along the top couple inches--Dr. Sponge's volume has the splitting all the way down, cover is attached at the cords only.
