Description: Up for bid is a Septarian Nodule section from Muddy Creek Utah. This piece is sawn on the front and bottom. Back is natural. The back doesn�t have a very good pattern so I didn�t photograph it. A Septarian Nodule is a Cretaceous Period mud ball that cracked over the ages. Calcite and aragonite slowly filled these cracks. The Calcite fluoresces a Cream color and is also phosphorescent. It is outlined with Aragonite that fluoresces Brown and Tan creating a beautiful pattern.
