Description: Newly cleaned (the mechanism, not the exterior) and repaired by my jeweler. Runs perfectly. Circa 1904, this is an impressive clock that showcases the best of Victorian style at the turn of the century! 8 day open escapement, jeweled pallets, brass bezel. Faux mercury in 2 glass tubes, so it's safe to use and ship. Ansonia listed this in its 1904 catalog, so it may have been produced before that as well. The pendulum is the same as shown in that catalog. Original price: $40. The porcelain face is beautiful, and I see no issues or chips. Perhaps some light discoloration. All glass is beveled. Front door and back door for easy access. Including all of the decor, total height, 12". 7 1/4" across x 6 1/4" deep 4" porcelain dial. The front door glass has a small chip in the very top upper left. The back door doesn't close quite flush. The pendulum removes easily. The black screw on it goes in the back. Here are notes the jeweler gave me: The mainspring is inside the barrels. If it runs fast or slow, the screw goes up or down. On the right, the wind hand moves. The left side is the chime. It needs to be wound (about once a week) when the chime gets slow. I don't know if the key is original. We ship within 1 business day of payment. I'm a very careful shipper and have been selling on ebay for close to 20 years. We prefer payment within 2 days, but just message if you need more time. Some states require sales tax. Enjoy!
