JEFF GORDON #24 Collectible NASCAR ©️ BRISTOL 8/03 Ticket in Holder w/ Lanyard

Description: Vintage NASCAR large size ticket from the 2003 SHARPIE 500 Race at BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY in Bristol, Tennessee TN Featuring the Photo of JEFF GORDON (now retired) - Car #24 - Multi-Record Setting Stock Car Driver for NASCAR. This was back when the NASCAR CHAMPIONSHIP Series was called the NASCAR WINSTON CUP SERIES. The ticket has been PROTECTED all these years IN A VINYL HOLDER with a LANYARD attached so it was likely worn at the actual race and used as a means to get back into the race track if the fan temporarily left. Buyer will be getting what you see - the tickets in the vinyl holder (which measures a bit over 8" in length). As mentioned, ticket has picture of NASCAR STAR, JEFF GORDON and the #24 CAR on a RACE TRACK. Gordon was the 2002 WINNER of this particular race. On the obverse side, there is a ticket with picture of a lesser known NASCAR driver named JIMMY SPENCER who drove for the YELLOW TEAM. He was not in the Winston Cup Series, but one step down (more of a ROOKIE). Back then, it was referred to as the NASCAR BUSCH SERIES. Spencer was the 2002 winner of the race at Bristol called the FOOD CITY 250 (not as long as the race that Gordon won). The Winston Cup Series ticket cost $82.00 (just imagine what they cost today - 22 years later!!) The ticket for the Busch Series race in 2002 cost $52. The actual winner of the race that the ticket is for (2003 Sharpie 500) was won by KURT BUSCH (team Roush) - his 7th career Winston Cup Series win at that point. The Busch Series race was won by Jamie McMurray. Jeff Gordon RETIRED AFTER the 2015 Season. He had WON 4 CHAMPIONSHIPS in his fabled career.
