Description: Etching by Jean Baptiste Le Prince (1734-1781). Dated 1765 title page. Le Prince is an interesting 18th century artist who mostly made prints from his own designs and popularized the medium of aquatint ( or invented it ). A print from my project pile so needs some foxing cleaned off. Sheet measures 7 3/4 by 10 inches. Actual antique etching, not any kind of modern copy.
