After Chief Brody reluctantly opens the beach, Alex Kintner, and his mother arrive to enjoy a day of sun & fun. Chief Brody, posts himself in the sand keeping a close eye on the beach goers. Shortly thereafter, Alex enters the water and is seen having fun paddling on a raft. This activity draws the shark into the shallows.
