Shade is the number one priority to have success in growing your own wasabi. Moist well drained soil with good fertility is also a must. Forget about the running water. They do great with misting or spraying, especially during the warmest part of summer. Cool temperatures ensure success too. 35F-70F is the wide range and 45F-65F is their ideal growing range. Plants will survive the hottest parts of July and August if properly attended with full shade and an afternoon spray down with cool water or a mist stand. A cool breeze helps wasabi also. There are also good videos online that show garden care. No returns but we will work with anyone experiencing problems to the best of our ability. Photos always help in analyzing any particular problem. Photo #6 shows 4" transplanted to beds late April of 2021. Growth can be vigorous under proper conditions. Color tags are included.
