Description: A collection of original, used items pertaining to the unofficial, rival James Bond movie, "Never Say Never Again," (NSNA) released in 1983. Starring Sean Connery as 007, this highly anticipated movie marked the actor's return to his most iconic role after 12 years. NSNA is one thing; the backstory of this unique James Bond project is another. Bidders likely are familiar with the fascinating, decades-long dispute over the rights to making this film, which was a remake of the official franchise's "Thunderball," released in 1965. The end result was this hit, subsequently controversial film. NSNA was reputedly intended to be the first of a rival 007 movie series that never came to fruition. There were also additional attempts to remake the Thunderball/NSNA story, triggering additional legal disputes that extended into 2001. The collection consists of used items in good condition: The Battle for Bond, author Robert Sellers' definitive account of this story. This edition is signed by Sellers. NSNA t-shirt, large size, never worn 5x7" color photo of Connery as Bond in NSNA Three scripts that show the evolution of this 007 story: "Thunderball" with photocopied autographs of Connery and Lois Maxwell/Moneypenny on its cover; “NSNA" “Warhead," the unusual, first attempt to remake "Thunderball" in the 1970s. Co-written by Connery, Kevin McClory and Len Deighton. Legal issues, presumably revolving around this script's extensive changes to the original story, stopped this project NSNA Pressbook. A time capsule of movie publicity, with the original (worn as in the photo) envelope, a glossy folder, two photos as well as a production profile and biographies of key cast members and director Irwin Kershner NSNA Original Soundtrack Recording CD, by composer Michel Legrand 3D Printed Model of XT7B flying device featured in NSNA. 10.5" high, including the flying device and a figurine (which was crafted in two parts as you see in the photo). This is an unusual rendering of the individual flying device that carried 007 and Felix Leiter aloft in the movie. The device could be considered a response to the iconic jet pack shown in "Thunderball," as the 007 logos that flashed across the screen in NSNA's first shot were a response to the official franchise's gun-sight opening.
