This company produced mechanical 400-day clocks for 104 years, from their first movements supplied to Anton Harder (the "Father" of the 400-day clock) in March 1882 until they ceased production in 1986. The 400-day clocks shown in this 96-page catalog represent the amazing variety available during the early 1900's from simple glass dome models to very elaborate models with marble, crystal, Brazilian onyx, gilt cast brass and bronze, and fine wood cases. Most of the fancier cases were made in France. Also of note is that several pendulum designs are featured, including the 4-Ball, eight varieties of disc pendulum, and a globe pendulum. In using this catalog for identification, the collector should remember that many of these models would have been in earlier production as well as later, including after WWI.
