Description: Here we have an extremely presentable example. Is it perfect? No, certainly not. It clearly has a certain patina that can only come from the aged chrome of an original part, being many years old. This is not a re-chromed piece. It is an original aged chrome piece. It does not show any overt flaws or have extensive pitting or scratches that jump out at you and there are no obvious negative detractions as seen in the subject photographs. What you see is what it is. It is believed that the presentation of this piece is good enough that it would not let almost any original show car down. This is an honest original piece that shows it has aged quite gracefully indeed over the past five or six decades... Perhaps the only superior alternative would be to have something re-chromed, however, that would surely be appropriate only if every other piece of bright work on a show car was either a new replacement or had been re-chromed as well.
