Description: For sale today is a very rare vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre chronograph from the early 90's. This is a JLC Kryos with 26-jewel in-house mecha-quartz movement. Reference number 305.8.31. I am a watch dealer, but this watch comes from my personal collection. Only selling it because I want to get something new. This watch is fully functional 100% and keeping perfect quartz time. Extra bracelet links to fit most wrist sizes. The Kryos itself is a rare model, but to get one with the original stainless bracelet is even rarer. Most of the few available for purchase right now are on leather, which honestly really just doesn't look as good as this awesome bracelet does. Also the black dial version of this watch is much rarer than the white one. All stainless steel case 35mm, but it feels larger on the wrist, like a 36 at least. The bracelet is 22mm at the lugs, so that really adds to the wrist presence and makes it feel larger. The bracelet tapers to 18mm at the clasp. (Butterfly deployment clasp) The bracelet loosely fits my 7-inch wrist. With the 2 extra links, the bracelet is quite long and should accommodate most wrist sizes. Powered by a 26-jewel mecha-quartz movement, Swiss made in-house by JLC. Chronograph and date complications. Ratcheted one-way count-up diving bezel with white/blue/red yachting timer countdown colors. Tachymeter around the edge of the dial, and "base 30 pulsations" heart rate meter on the inner bezel. Screw-down crown. 10ATM (100m) water resistance rating. A beautiful and very rare vintage timepiece, at a relatively affordable entry level price to the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand. Asking $1395 USD OBO including shipping within North America. Great international rates available too. ----- [There's one minor detail I should probably mention about one of the extra bracelet links... so each link in the bracelet is made of 7 separately machined pieces. One of the two extra links has 2 of the 7 pieces replaced with solid 10k gold pieces. I don't really know why. The Kryos was actually made in a gold version, but it was 18k, not 10k, so that's weird. Actually, the 10k color is so pale that it almost matches the steel anyways. My best guess is that someone remade two lost pieces, and it was easier to fashion them from gold than steel? Only maybe $25 of gold there, so I think it's plausible. If anyone else has a better explanation, I'd be very interested! So in summary, there is one extra link that's all-original and a second extra link with 2/7 gold pieces. In the pics, the replaced links are on the bottom left. See pics for detail.]
