Description: This wooden nickel was removed from a scrapbook that a young lady from Dayton, Ohio had put together in the late 1930's. As you can see from the pictures, it is not in very good condition. I was going to discard it because of that, but realize that some things are scarce enough that they are desirable in ANY condition. I didn't see any available on eBay, and thought maybe someone would be interested. The front of the piece does not display too bad, mainly showing a missing corner. However, the piece is nearly separated in two near the middle. The pictures shows where the crack runs from top to bottom. The picture of the back shows clearly the parts of the page it was attached to. The pictures tell the story, but contact me with any questions at all. I have placed the piece in a currency holder to protect it while it is in my possession, and it will be shipped in the same holder. This should insure that it stays together. I know it costs extra, but I'm going to ship it in a bubble mailer with a hard backer. With all of the costs associated with doing this I probably won't make much (if it even sells!), but perhaps a small wooden piece of history will be saved. A fragile piece, but the front will display well, especially if it is firmly placed in a hard plastic frame.
