Description: I love seeing that the original source of a vintage tie like this is still in business. Harper’s in College Station, PA has been in the menswear business since the 1920s and is still going strong. This tie dates to the early-1960s, when many college students still wore ties to class. It’s made of a fine woven silk and features black and narrow olive green and grey rep stripes. While the tie at its widest point is just over 3” (please see photos), it is a very light, unlined material, and it wears like a slim tie. It is in excellent preowned condition with minimal signs of wear. Get your Ivy style on by pairing this with a narrow-lapel sport coat and khaki trousers!
