Description: A fantastic vintage MCM mixed set of Italian marble and jade fruit in a silver with blue enamel Reed and Barton silverplate bowl. Set includes 10 pieces: 1) large cluster of glass grapes with a variety of colors ranging from green to dark red. Leaves are dark jade. Measures about 10" long x 5" wide, not including jade leaves 2) smaller cluster of grapes with a variety of colors. Leaves are dark jade. Measures about 7" long x 3" wide, not included jade leaves. 3) a light green jade pear with dark green jade leaves. Measures about 4" long x 2" wide, not including jade leaves. 4) a dark green marble pear - measures 5) a glass purple turnip with dark green jade leaves - measures 4.5" with stem and leaves x 1.5" wide 6) a bright red stone apple with sparkles b - measures 4" long with stem x 2" wide 7) a medium green stone apple with sparkles - measures 4" long with stem x 2.5" wide 8) a cluster of 5 green jade leaves - measures 5" with stem x 3" . One of the tips of the leaves is broken 9) a pea pod in light green stone - measures 5" long x .5" wide 10) Footed bintage Silver Reed and Barton Silver Plate #105 Bowl with blue enamel interior- measures 9" across x 4.5" tall Condition of bowl is very good vintage. There are scratches on the inside and outside consistent with age and use. There are a few noticeable scratches on the blue enamel at the bottom of the bowl. The green jade leaf cluster has one broken tip. There are no markings on the pieces - aside from the Reed and Barton bowl. The previous owner spent a great deal of time in Italy and indicated that she purchased these stone fruits and veg in Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. This set is quite heavy at around 11 pounds.
