Zeno 295399 (this coin); cf. Album 2563. Contrasting dark brown surfaces. Nice. The Aq Qoyunlu or White Sheep were a Turkic confederation founded in the region around Amid (Diyarbakr) on the Tigris River, ruling southeastern Turkey from 1378-1503. In their later decades, Aq Qoyunlu rule extended to neighboring regions. To date, there has not been a detailed study of Aq Qoyunlu coinage and many types remain unpublished.
