Description: This lovely size 5 tri-color Black Hills Gold Ring depicts two leaves — one pinkish, the other greenish — with a cluster of yellow gold grapes. This design originated in the 1870s during the Black Hills Gold Rush. Legend has it that French goldsmith Henri LeBeau had a dream about the grapes and leaves design, which he made using different alloys of gold to create pink gold and green gold, as well as standard yellow gold. This ring weighs 1.9 grams. Inscriptions inside the band indicate that it was made in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and that the gold is 10K and 12K. This ring was purchased in the 1970s at a jewelry store specializing in Black Hills gold.
