The author was born in Houston, Texas. He joined the U.S. Navy and has traveled extensively. He was brought to the Lord by the Navigators in the Long Beach Servicemen's Center. He graduated from Southwestern College and has served as an elder for 25 years in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America. He and his wife Judy have four children.
