Description: Presented is a huge Peruvian 900 silver cocktail shaker / pitcher. This piece was made by Welsch and dates to around the 1950s. The pitcher is direct from the estate of a diplomat to several South American countries, with a sizeable collection of unique and high quality South American objets de vertu. The pitcher has a tight fitting lid as well as a spout with a tight fitting stopper and interior strainer. The design of the piece is very simple and elegant, and would complement any stylish bar set-up. The pitcher is spotlessly clean, inside and out. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped with the maker's mark for Peruvian maker Welsch, as well as 'Industria Peruana' and 900 for the purity of the silver. These marks are repeated on the underside of the stopper. The pitcher is about 12 3/8 inches tall and 9 inches wide from spout tip to handle's edge.
