Description: This item is a rare pre- Stalin Russian IMPERIAL Enameled Caucasian Calvary Brigade Badge. It's approximate measurements are 2 5/8" inches by 1 4/8;" inches.. It is made of two piece construction including the screw on attachment bar. The eagles are made of a silver colored metal while the shield is gold colored with the enameling. I have not tested the metal for purity. I think the gold shield is brass. This badge has no stampings or manufacturer's marks. It does have some gold leaf hand painted lettering on the enameling. I can't read it. This gold leaf lettering might help identify the soldier or the unit this badge belonged to.. This badge is in good condition with no damage.
