Description: Welcome to my Online store, where I try and combine new comics with books from my collection based on existing spec and my own views on what I think is heating up. If you're buying to collect, read or sell, I've got you covered. *N.B I only buy and sell comics I truly believe in: whether that be a cool cover, a story I loved reading or a writer and artist that I'm a fan ofWeek 40: Hello World! It's actually a slim week for comics this time around and with what looks like some delays my weekly list is a bit meagre. Here is what is catching my attention: Batman #138 - this run continues to give a very nuanced take on Batman which I think is really inventive, right down to his narration. In this arc; what could essentially be just another 'superhero/villain War' is given a different dimension and there's a twist at the end of this that also changes the dynamics of where the reader thinks it's going. I was reminded of a comment by Alejandro Landes at the London Premier his film Monos, where he said that the nature of conflict has changed in recent times and isn't simply just a binary situation anymore and I think this story is similar. I really like the 1:25 for this book as well by famous Manga artist Kia Asamiya Doctor Strange #8 - really hyped for this issue as the General Strange story has been outstanding!Fantastic Four #12 - this may have been one of the books that's been delayed for this week as I'm not sure I saw it on the shelves this morning. I've been hearing excellent things about this run but crucially this issue will feature dinosaur versions of the MCU, I always keep an eye out for stuff like this on a spec level to see where the next Marvel Zombies type iteration of the mainstream characters will be coming Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville #2 Cover C 1:25 Joshua Swaby Card Stock Variant - Sway has really risen up the list of my favourite artists of late and I would file this one under the 'lifestyle' cover. I've not been able to find this anywhere as I don't suspect many retailers are ordering 25 copies of Fire & Ice so if you are able to find a copy it could be a great one to own as Sway's star continues to rise G.O.D.S. #1 - It's here! For Hickman devotees like myself I'm so excited for this. The most intelligent and left-field writer Marvel has had since Grant Morrison is given the chance to reshape the Marvel cosmic hierarchy. This is admittedly a £9.99 book but shouldn't disappoint. The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing #11 - The penultimate issue in Rosenberg's gonzo entertaining run The Immortal Thor #1 2nd Printing 1:25 Momoko Miss Minutes Variant - I picked up the open to order variant of this issue on the 1st print and would love to snag this, after the Timeless cover several years ago there's not been an MM cover go supernova on the aftermarket but this is a really cool cover! There's only a couple of issues on eBay that are listed for around $250.00 this could be a name your price book so if you're lucky enough to find one at a good price I salute youX-Men #27 Cóccolo Stormbreakers Variant - here is something of a long-view cover play, this has really flown under the radar on the spec channels this week and there were only a few in the stores this morning. This is a great cover, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be one of those Wolverine clones, a Marvel Zombies nod or something halloween themed but I can see this being one of those under-ordered 'ghost' books people try and find in stores further down the line What I'm selling this week:Poison Ivy #15 Cover D 1:25 Seb McKinnon Card Stock VariantImmortal X-Men #16 1:25 Arthur Adams Variant Solicitation: APOCALYPSE WHEN? When everything has already gone wrong, you may think at least you have nothing to worry about. You’d be wrong. Additional Notes: Variant cover art by Arthur Adams 1:25 Incentive Variant book is in Mint Condition, unopened, unread images are high res scans of the copy for sale repeat buyers receive 1 mystery comic per order this is a bit of surprise for me as I wouldn't classify myself as an Art Adams collector but there's something about the simplicity of his style that's suddenly landing for me. I initially looked at his work and thought it was cartoonish but I'm starting to see it more as a kind of classic comic book style, like something from the silver age which almost doesn't exist anymore. I'm a sucker for a good Emma Frost cover and this is a really elegant addition with a beautifully cool colour palette. shipping & packaging* - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:free mainland shipping on orders of £35.00 or higher, Tracking option available on books £20.00 or higher (please contact me to let me know if you would like your item signed for, otherwise I will send discount) Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery corrugated comic mailer, bound and taped with 2 calcium buffered comic backers extra safe and secure!
