Large folding linen-backed historical state map which is now splitting along numerous linen fold lines (no loss, easily mended)- please see photos. 1/4 leather binding, cloth covers, lacking spine leather, gilt title lettering. Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Map is overall clean. Scarce map. Binding heavily age worn but still appealing, leather dried and scuffed, cover and text block detached from the large folding linen backed map, remains overall attractive as a physical object of this era. Text block paper is age toned as typical, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but does not look like a new book. This is an antique old book which has been handled over the past many decades. Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
