The outer shrink wrap plastic packaging, instructions, and leftover extra hardware bits are included. Every surface has been sanded (220 grit first pass, 800 last). No paint, stain, clear coat, etc has been applied. Two points worth noting. First, look closely at the photos and you'll see the two top trays' alignment is slightly wonky. The second isn't visible in photos but the cantilever action is currently somewhat "tight", or "stiff". Both issues gradually settle out once you start using it.
