This SSM idler arm pivot assembly weld-in support bracket is another key piece of the puzzle, when trying to bulletproof the front end of your GM. The factory idler arm pivot assembly mounting tabs that hold onto the idler pivot assembly tend to twist, flex and can even dislodge from the frame. This flex can occur under demanding situations or everyday if you are running those big tires around town, or during heavy off-roading. This simple but highly effective brace/gusset will add the extra support needed to keep the mounting tabs from flexing. Made from heavy 6 gauge (.190) mild steel plate, then laser cut to the frames dimensions. Welding is required with this bracket and we recommend having a qualified welder do the job. Bracket comes raw steel and will need to be painted or under coated after welding. Please reference the picture in this listing below as instructions are not included when this bracket is shipped.
