Ideal Doll 23" Hard Plastic Walkure Doll 1950s Platinum Mohair Wig Silk Outfit

Description: DESCRIPTION: I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED. I’m offering today an adorable and large hard plastic "IDEAL DOLL" walkure (walker) doll. She is hallmarked on the back of the neck "Ideal Doll" as well as on the body. Her head, arms and legs are jointed, but she's really a "stand up" doll. I've never tried to seat her because of the pins in her legs. She has beautiful green "flirty" eyes, which will move from side to side. (My son was always afraid of this doll because of her eyes. He'd make me cover her up. It still brings a smile to my face. If he were alive today, he'd be 51 years old and I'm sure he would laugh about that too." Her eyes do stick every now and then if you lay her down. I usually just turn her over a couple of times till they get to where they need to be. I've had many of these dolls with these flirty eyes and that is quite common. I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has a gorgeous hand made platinum blonde mohair wig with ringlets flowing down her back. Her bangs come just above her eyebrows. I replaced her old wig, which was a reddish brown color because it was full of dust and I just didn't feel right sending her to someone in that condition. This wig is very expensive, but I think it was well worth the investment for her. I designed this adorable pink satin hair bow which matches her expensive silk designer romper. I took wide pink satin ribbon and made a large bow. I then cut pink elastic ribbon, which I measured to fit her head perfectly. I then hand sewed the large pink satin bow to the top of the elastic ribbon for a perfect fit. By doing this, it stays up high on her head and securely in place when she's wearing it. As you go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows. She has beautiful green open and close flirty eyes. She has her original eyelashes which have been spared from her previous little mommies scissors. Sometimes, the little mommies like to cut the eyelashes and hair on their dolls, but this one was not touched. Her eyes do stick every now and then. They always have since I've owned her. I've been purchasing old vintage dolls for some 45 plus years and these imperfections on these older dolls should be expected (or I say, they are for me). You're simply not going to find a perfect old doll. She has a dainty petite nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her precious open mouth. Her lips are painted dark red color with two teeth sticking out. There is a felt tongue behind her teeth, which really do look adorable. Her chubby cheeks have faint coloring to them, which is how most of these hard plastic dolls come. As I mentioned above, I do believe she was offered to us in the 1950's era. As most of you who follow me know, I pick their outfits based upon the way their faces look and what they speak to my heart. With this precious face and large green eyes, she needed to be in something that would enhance that gorgeous platinum blonde wig. I chose this adorable designer silk romper with green and off white stripes. There is delicate smocking with pink roses running through the tiny ripples of smocking. The peter pan collar comes up high framing that precious face she has. The sleeves are Cinderella style which come down to her elbow area. As you go around to the back of the silk romper, there are four white buttons which keep the romper closed and securely in place. The romper is a bubble style, which when her very full tutu is not on, you can just have her with the sweet little romper. I added a pink satin bow with pink satin rosettes to the center of the cream colored tutu for added cuteness. Her romper goes down to just below her knees, so you do see a bit of the bubble-look peeking out from under the tutu. She is wearing expensive white socks which have pink rosettes and aurora borealis crystals. Since she had such an expensive silk romper on, she needed to be all dressed up even as far down as the feet. She is wearing white Mary Jane shoes from my personal doll shoe collection. They are vintage, but have never been worn by another doll. I think she is a beautiful doll and one which you will never see another one like her. I think she looks adorable and I hope you do too! My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional. SIZE: This vintage baby doll is a larger doll measuring approximately 23" tall. CONDITION: This doll is vintage, but in what I would consider good condition. Her body has been cleaned and sanitized. Her hair was replaced with this beautiful custom made mohair wig. Her flirty eyes do open and close when they feel like it. As I mentioned above, they will stick every now and then. She has her original eyelashes. She is a jointed walkure doll and primarily stands upright for displaying. She has all her fingers and toes. Her beautiful silk designer romper is new and purchased for this doll. Her socks are new and her Mary Jane shoes are vintage, but have never been worn by another doll. They come from my personal doll shoe collection.
