Description: IBA International Basketball Association 1973 League CREATION / INTRODUCTION Program. SIX pages. This program was an introduction to the new IBA = International Basketball Association, that was being created and scheduled to begin play in 1974. The IBA was initially to be an eight team league that played a 56 game season. Teams were supposed to play in London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona and other European cities. The league was being created by Steve Arnold and John Coburn. Arnold was a director of the WHA (World Hockey Association), the WTT (World Team Tennis) and a special consultant to the ABA (American Basketball Association). This is an incredibly rare program/document. How many of these could possibly still exist? How many could there have been to begin with?
