Description: This stunning piece of artwork by Hunt Slonem is a true masterpiece. The painting, titled "Vodka," was created in 1976 and is an original, signed piece. The canvas measures 14 inches in length and 24 inches in height, and features a bottle of Absolut Vodka and portraits of birds and bird heads. I have had this artwork hanging at the bar in my home for many years. I have truly enjoyed this as a piece of artwork and a conversation piece, but it is time for it to find another home. I don't know if this was a commissioned piece by Absolut for advertising or how this painting came about. It is a very early representation of his work that reflects many of his more modern painting techniques. I love how Slonem textured the lines to make the painting look like a bird cage. There is some minor paint loss at the very top edge of the painting from what I believe was rubbing from the original frame. This would definitely be covered up by any frame put on the painting. This is shown in the last picture.
